Roadmap
What we are working on
Our plans for HF Panel. They can change as we learn from customers, so there are no dates here; what has shipped is in the changelog.
Now
Being finished and tested
- Proving 1.0 on real servers — Fresh installs, updates and removal on Ubuntu, Debian and Rocky Linux servers, and on our own production server.
- Email for servers with port 25 blocked — The outgoing mail relay and Import mail, tested against real mail providers.
- WordPress networks — Multisite networks with subdirectory or subdomain sites, made and managed from the panel.
- One home for every setting — Each setting and card in one place only, so nothing is set twice.
- Signed Windows installers — The HF Local and HF Connect setups signed with a code-signing certificate.
Next
Planned after that
- Failover to a standby server — A standby server already keeps a constant copy of a primary. Next: make it the primary with one click, with DNS following, then automatic failover when the primary stops answering.
- Plugin catalogue — Reviewed, signed plugins you install from Server Admin after checking what each one may do, with updates.
- A plugin kit for developers — Tools to make, check, pack and sign a plugin, with an example for each place a plugin can appear.
- Published load-test results — How well one busy account is kept from slowing the others, measured and published with the server, version and date.
- Independent security audit — A penetration test by an outside firm.
Later
Ideas we intend to build
- Paid plugins — Buy plugins from the catalogue, billed with your licence.
- More failover — PostgreSQL copies, a floating IP address, and websites spread over several web servers.
- A guide for moving from another panel — Step by step, built on Import accounts and tested on large moves.
- A community forum — Questions and answers beyond the documentation.
